How does stress show up in your life—and how do you manage it?
Stress tends to show up in my body before I even recognize it in my mind like tight shoulders, shallow breathing, disrupted sleep. As someone juggling a lot as a founder, I’ve learned to tune into those early physical cues and respond with care. My approach to managing stress is rooted in being proactive rather than reactive. I prioritize rituals that help regulate my nervous system and keep me grounded.
Do you have a go-to stress ritual or routine?
Yes! Monthly acupuncture is non-negotiable for me. I also rely on morning movement like a run or a quiet moment with tea at night. Slowing down and creating consistent bookends to my day makes all the difference.
How has acupuncture or cupping supported your stress relief?
Acupuncture has been life-changing. After four years of practice, it’s become a cornerstone of my wellness and recovery. It not only eases physical tension, but it also helps me reset emotionally and energetically. At WTHN, meeting Fennie truly deepened my understanding of Chinese medicine and gave me a sense of agency in how I care for my body. It’s been one of the most healing, supportive practices I’ve ever found.
Outside of WTHN, are there apps, supplements, or rituals that help you stay calm?
Morning meditation (even five minutes!), bedtime tea, and running are my top three. They help me create space to breathe, move energy through my body, and sleep more soundly.
What’s your reminder or mantra when stress starts to rise?
“This too shall pass.” It reminds me that stress is temporary and that I have tools and a community to help me move through it.
